Vacation....sort of....

So the story goes like this...
Originally we were going to go on a cruise. The reason being (long story short) Clay wanted to (the long version is because we thought we should have first hand experience since we now run a travel business and it was a very affordable vacation and sounded like a good sort of trip to take with Cash). Unfortunately there was a huge kerfuffle in which we ended up not taking the cruise because of Cash but were stuck with airfare. So we flew down to LA with David, Cirkl and Lucas and had a wonderful time with David's family. They are so sweet and generous.

Our fist order of vacation to-do's was to recuperate. Both Clay and Cirkl were sick when we left. That taken care of by the second day of the trip, our next order of vacation to-do's was to visit Seal Beach where they have the second longest wood planky thing (what are those things called again? I'm obviously tired and already need another vacation) in the world. At the end of it is an old 50's restaraunt.

On our third day we said good-bye to David's family and headed for a suite we got in Aneheim. It was fun having a mini apartment for all of us. That's when Cash came down with a fever and I was up fretting all night with him. Thankfully, we have Clay to keep me calm cool and collected and from rushing to the emergency room unnecessarily. The fever was gone by morning and we took our fourth day to recover yet again while David, Cirkl and Lucas explored the magical kingdom.
On our last day the Janowski's were good enough to go back to Disneyland so that we could enjoy it too. I had a blast on Pirates and Splash Moutain (which I'd never been on) and some of the shows including the Jedi training thing and Billy Hill and the Hill Billy's. But overall I would not recommend Disneyland as a vacation when bringing a four month old. It makes it plain difficult for everyone. You'll see our cool new Ergo carrier in the photo. It rocks.


By this time Cash's schedule had been completely discombobulated and he didn't eat or sleep almost all day. Thankfully he has plenty of rolls to keep him going. And now we're back home, still trying to get shedules back on track. Right now our little one is not as angelic as he usually is, but we hope he gets back to his old self soon. The flight to LA was a piece of cake and, while not as nice coming back, Cash still did pretty well.
Oma got him some leggings for crawling before we left. Argyl, of course :) We just wanted to show off how cute he is, as always.

Okay, time for a nap.
