So for Valentine's Day, Clay put up our back slider curtains that have been waiting to be hung for over three years, he put up a flag pole, and he put much needed child safety doo-hickies on our bathroom cabinets. Life is so much better suddenly! For lunch we had Chinese food (which, quite by accident, we did last year as well) and we went to David and Cirkl's for dinner. Cirkl is a fantastic cook- every meal is perfection. While we were there Lucas gave Cash a ride on his skateboard and Cash tried on David's shoes.

Our only other new news is Clay has a new car. Thankfully our number of cars has not increased. Clay's sister Cammie needed a new car but she couldn't find one she liked as much as Clay's car and Clay found another 2005 Focus but with all the upgrades. So they swapped- Cammie has Clay's old 2005 Focus and he got the new 2005 one. The only catch is it's a stick shift. It's quite sporty though- power moon roof, tinted windows, leather/suede interior, rear spoiler, low profile tires... He loves it. Now he just has to teach me how to drive the thing in case of emergencies. I'm not looking forward to that....
And last, but not least: the anger management thing isn't really working for Cash. I imagine most pre-talkers are like this, but it doesn't help that he has his mommy's temper. Enter younger child at our music class. He takes Cash's tamberine. Cash rips it from the child's frail grasp and clubs him upside the head with said musical instrument of torture. Yup. That's my child. Opa's proud of him, but I was fairly horrified. Luckily the mother of the other child was very understanding, given that her child really did start the conflict (though quite unwitingly). I gave Cash a time out and he screamed quite loudly until we had to leave. I think the amount of hitting and throwing of hard objects will lessen with the advent of language, but who knows how long that's going to be. The little bugger understands every word said to him quite clearly, he just can't reciprocate the conversation. Only time...
