On Sunday Jeannie put together a family dinner. It was scrumptious, even though I had to wolf it down in five minutes so I could race out the door to a meeting. But they took pictures for me to post on the blog anyway.
Tonight we went out for another birthday meal with David, Cirkl and Lucas and then a movie back at the casa. We saw Ember, and I really liked it.
Any entry isn't complete without mentioning Cash. He's getting so tall- I'm always finding him with an outlawed item that I thought was properly stowed but now due to his recent growth spurt is no longer untouchable. Over night he suddenly fits into size 24 month clothes. We go to the park about 2-3 times a week and he loves it. His other new favorite past time, which we discovered on our trip to Virginia City, is pretending to drive. He could spend hours in the front seat of a car and be completely in heaven. Some other things he's up to: he pushes our clothing bins under our bed into the bathroom, climbs onto it and proceeds to gleefully turn the light switches on and off; he's getting better and better at going up and down stairs like an adult with less and less support; the other day he managed to climb into his high chair/booster seat all by himself; he says "ka" for car, "nana" for thank you and makes lots of animal sounds (dog, owl, gorilla, duck, lion, cow, pig, bunny, bird). He's still in love with technology (phones, computers, always trying to plug things in) and trying on shoes that don't belong to him.
We just finished our second music semester and are planning on taking the next one. He's really getting into it now- in the car he does the body movements to half a dozen of the songs and loves rocking out to them too.
Hope you all have a nice Sunday tomorrow, free of bacteria and viruses.
