Just a quick update about us.
The summer garden is pretty much done. We are waiting to see if the onions ever fully develop and to see if we get any more viable zuchinni or crookneck squash. It's been more productive in some ways (tons of corn and lettuce, a decent amount of zuchini in the beginning and a total of 6 sugar pie pumpkins) and less in others (no watermelon, peppers, almost no strawberries, and our squash developed flower rot). We're evaluating the experience for the planning of our next summer garden, but I'm trying to get everything ready to start a fall/winter garden right now. So far I'm thinking lettuce and carrots.
Cash has been talking up a storm. "Toot" figures predominantly in his daily dialogue. Some mornings it's even his first word of the day. Can you tell he's obsessed? But he's saying two word sentences frequently now and even said his first three word one a couple of weeks ago ("Go to Mama.") His new word the other day was "dirt."
Here's an idea of the things we hear from Cash:
Go, toot (train), Pop Pop (which means any grandparent sometimes, but mostly Pop pops himself), Yum yum (food/hungry), slurp (thirsty/drink), dirt, ball, bug, car, cruk (truk), buh (bus), up, no (which thankfully he doesn't use much at all), volvo (which means my car or can mean "wall-e" for the movie), purple, blue, pink, two, to, boh (boat), please, help, done, Mama, Dada, moon, dat (that), pahk (park), book, home, cake, cookie, bye-bye, boo boo, poo poo and pee pee (we're gearing up for potty training), and bike.
There are more, but it's hard to think of them all, plus he's adding about a word a day.
