Every year Clay heads down to L.A. area to do his uncle's taxes. Being that we needed to get away, the whole fam tagged along this time. Thankfully we were all well enough by the time the trip rolled around. We packed our bags and headed out about 9pm and drove until we arrived at our hotel at 3am. Clay banged out the taxes in one day while the kids and I explored around the hotel and then the next day we headed down to Aneheim. We got into Disneyland at 2pm. While we didn't do everything and we took it kind of easy, we had a great time. Cash did the teacups with me and then did Mr. Toads Wild Ride with Clay, Pirates of the Carribean, the Jungle Cruise and Autotopia. After that we watched the parade. I was amazed at how taken both of the kids were with the parade. After that we had dinner off site and then the boys headed back for Star Tours and a rocket ride

while Tupp and I headed back to the hotel for bed time. It was the best vacation we've ever had, thus far. We were originally going to do a second day but realized we'd had our fill and spent the next day on the coast and riding a surrey along the beach.

We got to visit with good friends that night and the next and then headed back to the north country, again a night drive. Tupp got car sick only once on this trip, which was more than enough for me.
It's been about two weeks since we got back and yesterday, after receiving an invitation to visit a friend's farm, we decided to head to the coast. We flew the kite, had fish and chips and chowder and found shells and washed up crab bodies and chased seagulls (Tupp's chosen pastime) before heading out to the farms where we met chickens and drank homemade strawberry lemonde and Cash and Tupp enjoyed the trampoline. So nice to have those kind of days once in a while.

Bright sunshine!

It has been remarkably beautiful weather. But we wouldn't mind the rain!
