June week 2

The Dunford clan came to visit us after attending the Ren Faire in Tahoe. after dinner we walked around town and they shared their sasparilla and birch beer with us.  We came to found out later that friends of theirs didn't alert them to the fact that they were exposed to hand foot and mouth disease. I wiped everything down, cleaned the house and quarantined us for the week. This also meant that we had to change our plans for visiting Santa Rosa. Clay went by himself since he had  a wedding to work, and we missed out on the Pirate festival, doctor appointments and seeing fathers for Father's Day. We made the best of it though and I got lots of fruit for smoothies and popsicles in case we came down sick and made our own pirate festival in our yard.

Digging for treasure.

Dressing the part.
Water balloon cannon toss into the hula hoop.

Sinking boats.
Sailing boats down our foil river.
Finding treasure- flowers. And taking them back to decorate the nature table with them.

Watermelon puree popsicles.
Sunday we walked to the park and then to the cemetery to Storey Point. We found the biggest beetle we've ever seen- a Seven Stripes Beetle.
