Today we are five months! We weigh in at 17.25 pounds and are 26.5 inches long. So many new things are happening for Cash (and us).
Something not so new is that we try to put everything in our mouth. I love to watch him try to do it with something out of reach because he extends his upper lip as he gives it his all. Here you can see his lip hanging out under his nose as he tries desperately to eat part of the exersaucer.
He rolls from his tummy to his back and from his back to his tummy. He inches forward via his butt/legs but his arms can't keep him up yet so the crawl hasn't fully developed. We, along with Cash, sleep six to seven hours straight in the night. We are excessively happy with that but are hoping that night sleeping continues to progress (thank you to the Baby Wisperer book). Our naps are even better; they're actually happening. He's such a good baby; I take him housecleaning with me every day (I'll have to take a picture of him on my back while I'm vaccuming) and we walk most days with our neighbor Ali and her three month old Xavier. And these aren't pansy walks; she trained last year for a 39 mile walk so she really keeps me going. Honor and Grant have been visiting. We haven't gotten to see them much, but we are supposed to have dinner with them tomorrow so hopefully we'll have pictures to put up then. Wish everyone a Lá Fhéile Pádraig (even if they do use Scottish bagpipers for their celebrations)!
