Can I just say how nice it is to fly out of our very own Santa Rosa airport? Love it! And look at the place that we live. Awesome.
So we flew from Santa Rosa to Portland to visit the Lindsays. Once there we had tons of fun jumping rope, playing on the playground, taking a walk, drawing with chalk, sipping tea and dunking cookies at our very own tea party, grocery shopping, etc. And Cash's cousins just loved him to pieces. The girls and Myles each took turns holding him and Myles was so sweet, always trying to put Cash's binky back in for him. Darling!

In the middle of our trip we decided to trek up to Seattle to visit Ben and Stacey. Stacey thought it was because we loved them, but really it was to go swing dancing :) And in the end we had to take turns going into the dance venue since they didn't allow us to bring in Cash. Wierdness. Actually, we love Ben and Stacey a lot and thoroughly enjoyed visiting them.

We got a hotel while in Seattle since we thought inviting ourselves over to "the Haffners" was pushing it far enough. The cool thing is that they gave us a room with two beds, so Cash got his very own. Can you find Cash?

We went on the underground tour in Seattle. Very fascinating and we highly recommend it. Lots to tell about it but I'll limit myself to one story.

So, to make a long story short, there are these places in the sidewalk that were originally skylights. This is what they look like from the street. They were also originally clear, but over time the UV rays have caused the glass to turn purple.

And this is what they look like from below. You can actually see people walking above you. Coolness.

The tour guides recommended another building that was close by to view the sky line, rather than the usual Space Needle. Unfortunately it is only open on the weekends, but we met this sweet lady there who absolutely fell in love with Cash, and Cash with her. She said we made her day.

After we returned to Battle Ground, Clay proceeded to spend the remainder of the vacation living the childhood he never had by playing old Nintendo games like Zelda, Contra, etc. And of course Cash enjoyed watching. Although, Cash actually attempted to play a couple of times which ended up in Clay losing control of his player and dying a gruesome pixel death. Poor Clay.

And then there was the excercise before the birthday cake; bring on the ping pong baby! Some people take it so seriously they have their own paddle (ahem, Ben and Chris). But I feel both Clay and I are forces to be reckoned with when it comes to the ping pong.

This is the gang relaxing after a rousing round of opening birthday presents.

The next morning we had french toast a la Jennifer. Cash gave Uncle Ben loves,

and Rhaevyn loves,

and Aeva loves.

And then came our day to leave. It's always so difficult, and I have to give Jen a big thanks for not making me cry... too much.

Myles was so good with baby Cash. Here he is giving "gentle loves."

Cash was a dream on the flight home, just as he was on the flight up. There were fewer passengers so we spread out. Cash gets his very own seat.

Clay enjoyed the scenery and took pictures of the view. These are some clouds butting up against a mountain. We also took pictures of the Windsor Town Green and Pick 'n' Pull (of all things).

Our happy fly boy.

My boys waiting for the bags to arrive at the Sonoma County Airport.

We had a wonderful week with the Fam and miss them tons! Can't wait to see you all again. Until then, keep posting blogs! Love you!

Thanks for posting the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit here. Come any time. Ya, I thought I saw some tears. Come on, I couldn't be the only one crying when you left :(
Why doesn't it surprise me that Clay is showing Cash a real estate brochure?
